Welcome to the
Ignatian Spirituality Project!

A Jesuit Ministry Offering Spiritual Retreats to End Homelessness

Five-Fold Purpose of ISP:

  1. We offer retreats to those who are homeless and seeking recovery.
  2. We train formerly homeless men and women to assist in giving retreats.
  3. We reach out to new regions to train teams to offer retreats, days of reflection, and spiritual companioning.
  4. We seek to establish a national network of all involved in addressing the spiritual needs of those who are homeless.
  5. We collaborate with other persons and agencies working to end the injustice of homelessness.

Please read more about us and contact us if you wish to become involved.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

What’s Happening Now at ISP!

  • National Gathering 2010.  ISP will again hold its annual national conference in Chicago.  We’re expecting each of our 13 cities to be present with about 30 attendees.  See you all in the Windy City, March 12-13.

  • In March these cities will have a retreat:  Washington DC, Cleveland, St. Louis, Chicago, and Cincinnati.

  • Prayers and blessings for the Cincinnati team as they host their inaugural women’s retreat March 27-28.  An excellent team is prepared for a grace filled experience.  Our network keeps growing.

  • Retreatants Speak -- Visit the "Stories" section of the website for some inspiring words from Kia and Janet from Baltimore about their experience on retreat. Thanks ladies!

  • A new collaboration began with DePaul University and the Ignatian Spirituality Project.  A pilot program is underway with the Hay Project to help transform lives through leadership of ISP’s spirituality sessions at some service providers in Chicago.

  • Lenten Resources.  Looking for a way to connect your spirituality with service this Lent?  Consider volunteering with the Ignatian Spirituality Project.  We’d be excited to share with your our mission of offering retreats to homeless women and men who are in recovery.   We are always in need of your prayers and support.
